Weekly Rehearsals

Rehearsals take place Mondays from 7:00-9:00 PM through April 5, 2010 (except Feb 22) in the basement of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, at 16 Barre Street, Montpelier.

Players who wish to jam with us from 6:00-7:00pm on rehearsal Mondays are welcome.

The VFO Spring concert will take place on April 10 at 7:00pm College Hall Chapel on the Vermont College campus, Montpelier.

The Spring session features both traditional fiddle music and new music composed by some of Vermont's own. There will be "ear tunes" which are learned without sheet music, as well as tunes which have been transcribed and arranged for the full orchestra by John Mowad.

This session's new music will transport the VFO to the ancient hills and valleys of Wales as we explore the music of that culture.
